5 Days Private Zhangjiajie Hiking Tour

Welcome to join in our Zhangjiajie hiking tour. Upon arrival, you will meet your guide at the airport exit holding a board with your name on it. After a warm greeting, the guide will escort you to the hotel and help you with check-in. In the following time, you can have a good rest or hang out by yourself to feel the charm of this city.

After having breakfast, we will head to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The first stop is Golden Whip Stream, a fascinating stream named after the Golden Whip Rock. The winding water flows from west to east and will never stop flowing even after a long drought. On both sides of the river are strange mountains with ancient trees growing. There are also birds and animals in the forests and fish swimming in the crystal water. We will go hiking for about 2 to 3 hours here. Afterwards, go sightseeing to the Yellow Stone Stronghold in the west of the park. A round-trip cable car is included in the itinerary. At an altitude of 1,200 meters (3,937 feet), the stronghold is surrounded by steep cliffs on every side. Standing on the top, you can overlook the hoodoos around. Yellow Stone Stronghold is densely distributed with wonderful sights and owns the largest observation platform of the national park. After getting off the cable car, you can either continue to hike or just stay to appreciate the scenery.

In today's Zhangjiajie hiking tour, we will first travel to Yuanjiajie by Bailong Elevator. It is a vertical elevator built against the mountain with a service altitude of 326 meters (1,070 feet). By taking it, we can reach the mountain top in only 66 seconds. After exiting, the picturesque natural landscape will feast your eyes. Here, you will see the world-famous Avatar Hallelujah Mountain and The First Bridge under the Sun between the two mountains which together form a natural arch.

Then, take the eco-car of the scenic area to Tianzi Mountain and appreciate the natural wonders. The various newly formed unique landforms mainly gather on the mountainside, like the splendid waterfalls, strange and dangerous Immortal Bridge, rock gate, karst caves, dense and sheer peak forests and stone pillars. The sea of clouds and mist cover the mountain, making you feel in the fairyland. After sightseeing, we will go downhill by the cable car. Finally, enjoy a hiking tour of 2 to 3 hours in the Ten-mile Gallery. Located in the Suoxi Valley Nature Reserve, it is the essence of the scenic area. Along both sides of the winding gallery are lush trees, fragrant wild flowers and grotesque peaks and rocks, which make it like a large landscape scroll. You will see ancient residences of the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368 - 1911), monuments, karst caves and ancient strongholds during the tour.

In the morning, we will start today's Zhangjiajie hiking to the Grand Canyon. The waterfalls and springs scatter here and there in the canyon. A clean stream flows in the valley with a plank road for sightseeing by it. You will feel refreshed when travelling in the luxuriant plants, observing the wild animals and hearing the singing of birds. Here, you will also experience the highest and longest glass bridge in the world. On the bridge, you will not only challenge yourself, but also enjoy the scenery of the canyon from a different perspective. Afterwards, a 2 to 3 hours' hiking tour in the valley bottom is arranged for you.

In the afternoon, we will take a boat to tour Yellow Dragon Cave, to watch the splendid karst landforms. It is famous for the large three-dimension structure of cave, the abundant karst landscapes and the land and water sightseeing routes. The cave covers an area of 100,000 square meters (119,599 square yards) with a length of 7.5 kilometers (4.7 miles) and a vertical height of 140 meters (459 feet). In the cave are one reservoir, two rivers, three pools, four waterfalls, thirteen palaces, ninety eight corridors, dozens of peaks, thousands of jade pools and nearly ten thousand stalagmites.

Today, Tianmen Mountain is our destination. On the uphill cable car, you will be able to overlook the whole landscape of the park and the majestic ninety-nine turns. When climbing to the top, you will also experience the hanging glass bridge between the steep cliffs and challenge the magnificent 999 steps. Then we will take the sightseeing bus to go downhill. After the Zhangjiajie hiking package ends, you will be transferred to the airport for the departure flight.
