The best time to visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum during the day should be prior to 10:00 in the morning and early afternoon or around lunch time. The reason for this is that the large flow of tourists haven’t arrived yet before 10:00 and the majority of them have left for lunch in the early afternoon. This then gives you enough time to tour leisurely and comfortably. If the trip is over by noon, the rest of the day is available for you to have a look at the nearby Huaqing Pool or explore the city of Xi'an.

We have unfortunately booked our international flights to China for Golden Week (non-refundable)
And will be in Xi'an from 1- 4 October 2020. Does anyone have any advice on visiting the Terracotta Warriers during this period - really worried about the trip now given the numbers who visited in 2019. Thank you.

Sorry can't help you. It is not suggested to go to Terracotta Warriers during Golden Week because you can't imagine how many people you will encounter.

Yes, it opens all year round. And in this spring festival, it opens from 8:30 to 17:30.
