Day 1 Arrival in Bogota, Airport pick-up
Welcome to Bogota! Praised to be "Athens in South America", Bogota houses many historical sites and picturesque scenery. You will get a car ride from Bogota airport to the hotel escorted by our guide.

Day 2 Full day highlight tour in Bogota
We'll get to Mount Monserrate at the very first of the Caribbean Coast tour. To overlook the entire city, we'll go up to the mountain top by the cable car. Then we'll get down to the old city area La Candelaria, where we'll walk to visit Plaza de Bolivar, to see those historical architecture standing for centuries, bustling restaurants and snack stalls with enticing smells. After that, keep walking to visit the museums: Museo de Botero and Gold Museum (Museo del Oro). Museo de Botero shows the native artist Botero's works; and many ancient gold wares unearthed locally are on display at Gold Museum.

Day 3 Drive to Villa de Leyva, Stop by Salt Cathedral
We'll head to Villa de Leyva today. 1.5 hours after departure, stop over for a visit to Salt Cathedral in Zipaquirá, an architectural masterpiece carved with the salt rocks underground. Then we'll continue driving to Villa de Leyva; another 3 hours later, we will reach this town which is a beautiful remain of colonial age.

Day 4 Explore colonial city Villa de Leyva
You'll be guided to visit highlights in the town one by one. El Infiernito, the vast archaeological park, is the first stop. The Vineyard "Aim Karim" would be the next. And then, Monasterio Del Santo Eccehomo, which is a convent with a path paved with fossils and the courtyard full of flowers and shrubs. Casa Terracota, the pottery house, is also unique and attractive. In the end, we'll stroll at Plaza Mayor, the cobble square with a fountain in the center.

Day 5 Fly to Bucaramanga, Drive to Barichara
You'll be transferred to Bogota airport for the plane to Bucaramanga. Upon arrival at Bucaramanga airport, the local guide and the driver will picked you up and head to Barichara, in a distance of 3 hours' drive. Barichara is a charming village with old cobble streets, and houses of white walls and reddish roofs. It will be an unforgettable moment of the Caribbean Coast tour package walking around Barichara.

Day 6 Hiking to Guane by Camino Real
We're going to visit Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in the center of Barichara. It's such a grand church to be a popular wedding site all over the country, with a beautiful yellowish orange exterior. Then we will go hiking for 2-3 hours along Camino Real, the ancient cobble pathway to Guane Town. Surprisingly you'll find some fossil pieces inserted in the road when we hike through a cactus valley. As we get to town Guane, we'll visit Archaeology and Paleontology Museum, to admire the fossils and a female mummy from 700 years ago. After the tour, drive back to Barichara.

Day 7 Full-day tour in Chicamocha National Park
We will take 1.5 hours car ride to Chicamocha National Park, which is reputed as the Grand Canyon of South America. We are about to walk along the paths with ferns, to appreciate the fountains and waterfalls, and then see the incredible full view of Chicamocha Canyon on the cable car.

Day 8 Fly to Santa Marta on the Caribbean coast
After being sent to Bucaramanga airport, you need to fly to Bogota and then take a connecting flight to Santa Marta. On your arrival, our guide and the driver there will offer you an airport-hotel transfer. The rest time of the day is free for you. Enjoying a great time in city center, Caribbean beaches or other nearby attractions are all optional.

Day 9 Trekking tour to Cabo San Juan del Guia
During today's Colombia private tours, you will enjoy a trek in Tayrona National Park with the guide. On the trekking route by Caribbean Sea, we will see the exotic beaches at Arrecifes, where many reefs hide under blue waters. We'll go by La Piscina, too. Embraced by outstretched rocks, it's a top beach for swimming and snorkeling with calm water. Around 2 hours after we begin the trek, we will get to the destination - Cabo San Juan del Guia, the beach bay rich in lush plants and volcanic rocks. You will have plenty of time to relax on this Tayrona's most visited beach. We need to trek back later, as so to return to your hotel by car.

Day 10 Minca tour with La Victoria & Marinka
We will drive the car to Minca, a quiet mountain village. Taking 45 minutes to get there, we'll go to visit La Victoria, the old coffee plantation. There we will learn the process of making coffee and taste fresh coffee. We'll then hike through the forest to Marinka, to see the breathtaking waterfalls dropping down and hear birds singing.

Day 11 Drive to Cartagena, Explore the city on foot
After breakfast you will be transferred to the bus station for the 4-hour bus ride to Cartagena. You can enjoy the beauty of Caribbean Sea on your journey. On arrival in Cartagena, you'll get greeted and the bus station-hotel transfer will be served. 

In this afternoon, we're going to see Walled City, the historical town district, on foot; and Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas, the old fortress with complex tunnel system to defend against invading troops as well as pirates; and Convento de La Popa, the early 17th-century convent with a garden-like courtyard.

Day 12 Depart Cartagena, Airport see-off
As the best Colombia private tours come to end, the guide and the driver will see you off to Rafael Núñez International Airport. If your flight departs later today, you'll have some free time to sightsee on your own. The Monument to Old Shoes, the Monument to India Catalina, Church of San Pedro Claver, and Las Bóvedas are nice sites.
