You need to get up early today to catch the plane. Our English-speaking driver will meet you up at your hotel in Nassau city at the appointed time and send you to the airport by car. Our travel consultant will contact you in advance to confirm the time with you. Then, you need to take the flight we booked for you to Staniel Cay Airport, which will last for about 30 minutes.
As you fly over Exuma Cays, you will be able to get a stunning view of the Exuma Cays from your window. It is an archipelago of about 365 small islands, which are low and flat, with many colorful coral reefs along the coast. It is also sunny and temperate all year round, and from high above, the area looks like a bright blue gem on the earth.
Upon arrival at the Staniel Cay Airport, our local driver will pick you up and transfer you to the dock where you will see the English-speaking captain waiting for you. The captain will be responsible for your following day trip from Bahamas.
Firstly, you will be led by the captain to Pig Beach, which is famous for its many pigs who can swim in the sea. If interested, you can swim with these Exuma's swimming pigs, and feed the adorable pigs with the food provided by the captain.
Then the captain will escort you to the Thunderball Grotto, the setting place for the James Bond movie Thunderball. The water here is clear and calm, perfect for snorkeling. Only if you are proficient in swimming and snorkeling can you go snorkeling in the Grotto. So you'd better get some training and acquired the snorkeling and swimming skills before the tour.
After that we will sail to Bitter Guana Cay, where you can feed the endangered Rock Iguanas. Iguana is actually a gentle animal that you can reach over slowly and gently to touch its rough, cool skin. There's also the island's native stiff rat, who isn't afraid of humans and is even more aggressive than the iguana in begging for food from visitors.
Next we will go to the Compass Cay to watch the Nurse sharks and you even can swim with them if you dare. Actually, they are so gentle that you don't need to worry about your personal safety, only if you don't hurt them.
Later, we will sail passing by Sunken Plane Wreck and reach the Exuma Cays Sand Bars. There, you can take a leisurely stroll on the white beach, and take some stunning photos with Turquoise Blue Water as the background. Today's lunch will be arranged at the Staniel Cay Yacht Club at noon.
After that, you will be transferred to the airport and fly back to Nassau. Upon arrival, the local driver will pick you up and send you back to your hotel. Our Bahamas day trip draws to end. May you have had a great day with us and a good dream night!
