Highlights of Hokkaido

Upon your arrival at Sapporo Shin Chitose Airport, an Japanese driver will pick you up at the airport and will transfer you to hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city by yourself.

Our professional English-speaking guide will meet you at the hotel lobby, and then you will one a one day guided tour by public transportation. First, visit Odori Park and Shiroi Koibito Park in the city.

In the afternoon, take local train or bus for one hour with your guide to Otaru Unga, an ancient canal lined with Victorian style kerosene streetlights and warehouses with red brick walls. Otaru is famous as a glass city, the largest and most historic glass workshop in Hokkaido is Kitaichi Glass Studio. Founded in 1901 during Otaru's most prosperous period, Kitaichi Glass Studio is famous for making the exquisite oil lamps and jade like glass. Then, go to Otaru Music Box Museum, a European style building, where you can not only see a variety of music boxes, but also make a small music box of your own. Take bus back to Sapporo.

Our guide and driver will meet you at the hotel lobby, a 2-hour private transfer will take you to Shikotsu-Tōya National Park, where you will see the geologic wonder - Noboribetsu Jigokudani Hell Valley, a crater relic, near Lake Toya; then walk to Oyunuma - a hot spring lake with lots of vapor; afterwards, drive pass Mt. Showa Shinzan and Mt. Usu Ropeway on the way to Lake Toya. Stay overnight at Noboribetsu, enjoy hot springand dinner at the hotel.

Our guide and the driver are still in service today to visit Furano & Bie. Drive for 2.5 hours to get to Furano. The first come in sight is the Farm Tomita, one of the oldest flower fields in Japan. It has become a large-scale garden farm with up to 150 kinds of flowers, starring lavender in the past. However, Lavender cannot represent everything here, Farm Tomita will never lose its sense of appreciation due to the different varieties of flowers blooming in different seasons. Next you will visit Ninguru Terrace Craft Market.

And then we will pass by Bie (Blue pond) to get to Asahikawa, where you will visit Otokoyama Sake Factory with a history of more than 330 years and then enjoy the sightseeing at one of the seven courtyard-style gardens in Hokkaido - Ueno Farm (Ueno Farm will be replaced by Asahikawa Ramen Village if it is not the season). After finishing visit, drive for 2.5 hours to get back to Sapporo.
