Pictures of Great Wall Ruins in Zhangye
The wall around the beacon tower has collapsed. If useful measures are not taken to protect the Great Wall. It won't be long before tourist may have to visit new attractions in stone and concrete in Shandan, instead of marveling at the serpentine construction of mud that is currently snaking its way across the desert.
In Shandan County, Zhangye, Gansu Province, numerous Great Wall relics of the Han and Ming dynasties can be seen. Under the sun of the winter, these sections looks quite spectacular. This giant dragon walking in the gobi is praised as 'the Open-air Great wall Museum in China'. However, through years and the erosion of rain and wind, the Wall has been suffering damage. ZHANGYE TO URUMQI
I WILL BE TRAVEL FROM LANZHOU TO ZHANGYE TO SEE THE DANXIA MOUNTAIN, LATER ON AS IT WILL BE EVENING, MAY I KNOW WHETHER I SHOULD STAY A NIGHT AND TRAVEL TO URUMQI FROM ZHANGYE OR FROM LANZHOU?

It is a quite long distance between Danxia Park and Lanzhou. You'd better spend the night at Zhangye. On the next day's morning, you can take a high speed train at ZY west railway station to Urumqi. After 8.5 hours' trip, you will get to the destination.
