Coastal Metropolis in Northern China near Beijing
Tianjin is one of the four municipalities in China. Facing the Bohai Sea, the city serves as Beijing's vital gateway to the sea as well as the largest port city in north China. It is about 134 km (83 mi) from Beijing and it takes as short as 35 minutes to Beijing by bullet train. Once served the port of foreign concession in the 19th century, Tianjin still remains a lot of European-style buildings including the former residences of celebrities, industrial and commercial enterprise buildings, churches, and clubs on the Five Avenues.
Hai River flows slowly through the city and the towering Tientsin Eye spans on it. Taking a walk along the Hai River in the evening and overlooking night scenery from the Ferris wheel are must-to-do things. In addition, the countless delicious food in Tianjin is mouthwatering. Snacks like Fried Cake and Pancake Fruit that can be eaten on the street are the cream of the city's delicacy and the most authentic flavors.

From December 28th, 2017, citizens of some countries and regions including USA, UK, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, and Netherlands are granted a visa-free stay of up to 144 hours when taking an international transfer via Binhai Airport.
Getting in and out of the city is convenient because of the well-planned transportation system. If you want to come by water, there are a series of international and domestic sea routes in the port of the city, which is the biggest man-made port in the country. If you plan to arrive by air, Binhai International Airport offers excellent service. Planes have routes that reach most of the major cities in the country and also cities in Europe and America. Of course, arriving by land is another option, while trains or long-distance buses are yet another alternative.
History: It is no exaggeration to say that the city bears a splendid historical background. However, it was desecrated by foreign invaders long before the foundation of People's Republic of China. The city was once shared by nine countries: Italy, Germany, France, Russia, Great Britain, Austria, Japan and Belgium. This marked an extremely hard period for the city and her people because those imperialist countries left permanent marks in her body, most notable of which were thousands of villas. Today those villas provide an exotic flavor, enhancing the beauty of the entire city.
Local Highlights: Various hotels, guesthouses and hostels can also meet your different needs. In addition, there are all types of entertainment available to relax both your body and mind.
