Day 1 Arrival in Managua, Airport Pick-up
Today we will pick you up from the airport and drive you to the hotel.

Day 2 Managua City Tour, Transfer to León and Visit León Viejo on Foot
After breakfast, we will start with a visit to the Managua city. Our first destination is Tiscapa Crater Lake. This lake was formed 10,000 years ago and is surrounded by the forest. We will also visit the remains on its bank. Then go to the historical area of the city to appreciate the classic buildings and visit the National Museum.
After lunch, you will be driven to León. On the way, you will visit León Viejo, which means old León. In 1524, the Spanish controller built the city here. However, due to frequent volcanic eruption and earthquake, the location was abandoned. The remains was not rediscovered until 1967.

Day 3 Visit León and the San Jacinto Mudfields
San Jacinto Mudfields are famous for the bubbling mud emerging from the air holes of the volcanoes. We will have a walk in the fields and observe this unique phenomenon closely. Then drive back to León and have a walking tour. We will appreciate traditional and modern art works at Ortiz Gurdian Museum, experience the locals’ daily life at fruit and vegetable market, and finally go to Leon Cathedral and climb to its rooftop to overlook the whole city. Then transfer you back to the hotel for a break. At 19:00, you will be picked up and transferred to a local bar. You can taste 11 different kinds of Flor de Caña rum there.

Day 4 Visit Masaya, Drive to Granada
After breakfast at hotel, we will drive to Masaya and visit the Masaya Volcano, the most active volcano in Nicaragua. Next, go to the artisan market, where you could see the handicrafts made by local artists. At noon, we will have lunch at the Catarina viewpoint where you can have a panoramic view of the Apoyo lagoon. After learning the process of making handicrafts at San Juan de Oriente village and visiting other surrounding villages, we will continue to drive to Granada and check into the hotel on arrival.

Day 5 Sightseeing in Granada
Located on the bank of the Nicaragua Lake, Granada attracts numerous visitors both by its natural beauty and its historical sites. In this city, you could see the ancient Spanish colonial style buildings, hike to the volcanoes and take a boat trip on the Nicaragua Lake. In the morning, we will explore the city area on a horse-drawn carriage. Our first stop is San Francisco Convent, which now serves as a museum. In this convent and museum, paintings, religious art works, potteries and sculptures are exhibited. Next, we will climb to the bell tower of the La Merced church to overlook the charming city. Then go to Xalteva church, and visit the old city walls.
In the afternoon, we will take a boat to visit Las Isletas archipelago. In this popular tourist site, fishing communities, luxury homes and resorts were built. We will stop at one of the islands and visit a former Spanish fortress. On the way, your guide will help you know the plants and animals you encounter.

Day 6 Ometepe Island Adventure
In the morning, you will be driven to the San Jorge port to take a ferry to the Ometepe Island. Your Ometepe Island exploration starts from the Museum El Ceibo. The pre-Columbian statures and collections in this museum will help you know better of local culture and history. Then head to the Charco Verde Nature Reserve to visit Laguna Verde, which means Green Lagoon. It is the habitat of numerous birds. In the afternoon, find the hidden spring on the east side of the island and swim there. Finally, we will transfer you back to the hotel.

Day 7 Chocolate and Coffee Trip
This morning, we will learn the process of making cacao and chocolate at the chocolate workshop in Granada. Make your own chocolate and Cocoa drinks and taste them. Then continue to Café Las Flores, a coffee plantation located on the hillside of the Mombacho Volcano. In this place, you can see how coffee is cultivated and taste the local coffee. After the visit, we will drive you to Apoyo Lagoon and you will check into hotel on arrival.

Day 8 Masaya Volcano Discovery
Day time is free on your own. At 16:00, your guide and driver will pick you up to visit the Masaya Volcano. If lucky enough, you can see Parakeets on the way, a kind of beautiful bird living in the volcano. After reaching the viewpoint, observe the crater at close, and you will definitely be shocked by the boiling red lava inside.

Day 9 Drive to Managua, Airport See-off
