San Blas Trip with Panama Canal

Welcome to Panama City and thanks for choosing our San Blas Island tours. The driver will wait for you at the exit of Tocumen International Airport, then transfer you to the hotel. During the rest of the day, you can have a good rest in the hotel, or wander around Costa del Este, which is an upscale neighborhood, with a variety of high end shops and restaurants, dotted with dense groves of palm trees.

After breakfast, your guide and the driver will pick you up from the hotel lobby and take you to the Ruins of the first Panama City - Panama Viejo, the first city built in Panama during the Spanish colonial period. Then we will visit Panama City Old Town - Casco Viejo, the second colonial city built in Panama after Panama Viejo was destroyed by pirates. After lunch, go to visit Amador Causeway, Bridge of The Americas. Next we are going to the Panama Visitors Center at Miraflores Locks at Panama Canal, where you can see a movie about the development of the Panama Canal, and visit the Canal Museum and Observation Platform. Finally, tour around the cosmopolitan city Panama City.

Today, we will arrange a Panama Canal cruise for you. Our cruise trip will start from Flamenco Marina Dock on the bank of Pacific Ocean and end at the Gamboa Dredging Division. Known as the eighth wonder of the modern world, the Panama Canal is an important waterway connecting the Atlantic and Pacific oceans and is a must-see spot for tourists visiting Panama. Our boat will pass the American Bridge, Miraflores Locks, Miraflores Lake, Pedro Miguel Locks, the Bridge of the Century, and Lake Gatun one by one. After reaching Lake Gatun, we will cross the northern end of the Gaillard Cut and eventually disembark at the Gamboa Dredging Division. Finally return to the hotel.

The San Blas tour really begins today. First, it will take us about 2 hours to transfer from Panama City to San Blas Islands. It is suggested that you buy water, snacks, drinks and other food in the supermarket on the way, as the variety of goods sold on the islands is limited and expensive. On the way there will be a passage through the jungle. After arriving at the coast, we will take a boat to the San Blas Islands in about 40 minutes. You can arrange your time freely after arriving and checking into the hotel. The guide will be happy to recommend some interesting outdoor activities for your San Blas tour. For your information, this area includes Fragata Island, Perro Island (Dog Island), Diablo Island, Starfish Island, and Chichime Island, and there are different travel routes between these islands every day. You can go snorkeling to look for colorful tropical fish in coral reefs, or just lay in a hammock and enjoy sunbathing on the beach.

Today the guide will take you to visit Guna Yala Community, where you can learn how the locals live. You can buy some special handmade souvenirs for your friends or family there. After, you can enjoy your San Blas Island tours freely on the beach if time permits. In the afternoon we will return to the hotel in Panama City.
