According to a latest survey, Shenzhen is the most active and lively city at night in China, second only to Shanghai and even more lively than Beijing. What’s the Shenzhen nightlife like, or what to do at night in Shenzhen? Let’s have a look.
 Shenzhen has many theme parks, where shows and performances are going on even at night, making them the great places to experience lively Shenzhen nightlife. Here are some most famous ones.
 
OCT East gathers most theme parks in Shenzhen, such as Splendid China – Folk Culture Villages, Happy Valley and Window of the World. In the evening, many of these theme parks have performances for visitors to enjoy and participate in, which can be said to be very wonderful and interesting.
 
When night falls, the Oct Harbour will put on a very wonderful water show and dance performances. There will also be fireworks and other activities. If you are tired of playing, you can taste food here and enjoy the wonderful underwater show.
 
Shenzhen Sea World consists of “Minghua Wheel”, a luxury cruise ship, and “Sea World Plaza”. There are hotels, large theme bars and restaurants. In the evening, there will be a wonderful fountain show. The Shenzhen nightlife here is dynamic.

The Shenzhen Civic Center is the perfect location to enjoy the light show, which is going on every Friday, Saturday and holiday night. The Peak Plaza of Lotus Hill Park is the highest outdoor plaza in Shenzhen, where visitors can overlook the towering skyscrapers and sparkling vehicle flows. Shenzhen Bay, full of modern architecture and skyscrapers, is also recommended to appreciate night view of Shenzhen.
 Food court of Dongmen Pedestrian Street is always full of noise from the early morning to midnight. People who like to eat and drink must go here at night. Nanmen Yifang Food and Sightseeing Night Market is the first night sightseeing market in Shenzhen. From Taiwan snacks, Southeast Asian dishes, European food, to a variety of Chinese staple foods, snacks and desserts, they are all available there. There are also occasional singing and dancing performances there to create happy atmosphere.
 
Other food streets worth going at night in Shenzhen include Leyuan Road Food Street, Shekou Food Street, Huaqiangbei Food Street, and Xiangxi Village Food Street.
 

Bars are always hot places to enjoy nightlife in Shenzhen. Bars in Shenzhen are mainly located in Shekou Taizi Road, Sea World, OCT Ecological Plaza, Central Business District in Futian, and around Sunshine Hotel in Luohu. Here are some of the most famous ones.

Chinese Name: 后花园酒吧 (hòu huā yuán)
This is a great place to hang out with a few friends. The bar offers DIY service, barbeques and fruit are free.

Chinese Name: 顶楼酒吧 (dǐng lóu)

Chinese Name: 莉莉玛莲酒吧 (lì lì mǎ lián)
Lily Marlin is a very popular bar in Shenzhen where always has many resident singers making perform, so the atmosphere is lively and uplifting. It’s also a great place to relieve stress, and guests can get up to speed with the music.

 4: LE-NEST
Chinese Name: 乐巢酒吧 (lè cháo)
LE NEST Bar is a popular bar with unique decoration. There are often singers on site here, so you can hear a lot of good nostalgic songs, usually most of the young people will gather here.

Shenzhen boasts many shopping malls with stores, restaurants, cinemas, and other entertainment facilities inside.
