I am a airline crew staff and is applying for L-Visa to Shanghai in July 2023. Do you keep my passport during the application? If yes, how can I get it back within 1 or 2 working days? I need my passport for work.

As I know, they will keep the passport during the application. You may apply for a rush service whose processing time is usually 2 working days.

Singapore citizens could visit China for 15 days without a visa before the pandemic. But the policy hasn't resumed yet. So you can wait for several months to see if there will be any update.

Generally, the processing time of regular service is usually 4 working days after all the required documents are provided.

You are advised to apply a visa at least one month in advance but no earlier than 3 months of your travel date.

If you have a Mainland travel permit for Taiwan residents, then you can go to mainland China directly. If you don't have one, then you need to apply for a travel permit in Chinese embassies and consulates in Singapore.
