Situated in the Guanzhong Plain on the middle reaches of the Yellow River, Xi'an is reputed as one of the four most famous ancient capitals in the world. Yes, the biggest and most popular is Great Mosque in Muslium Quarter. It is also a popular scenic spot nowadays.

What is the most cost effective way to get to the Great Wall of China from Xi An ?

There are many sections of Great Wall. I assume that you mean the most famous Badaling Great Wall in Beijing. First, you need to take a bullet train or flight to Beijing. It generally takes about 4-6 hours by bullet train and costs CNY 450- 550 for a second class seat. If taking a plane, a 2h flight journey costs CNY700-1500 for an economy class seat.

Upon arrival in Beijing, you can take a high speed train from Beijing North Railway Station to Badaling Great Wall. It takes about 30 min and costs CNY25. Please note that there are only two departures from BJ North to Badaling, respectively at 08:43 and 11:46. Advance train tickets booking is very necessary.

From airport, you can also travel to the railway station to take a train or to Deshengmen to take the direct bus no. 877.

There is a Catholic Churches in No.17 Wuxing street.Mass and singing activities on Sundays.

As I know, one Catholic Church is located at No.29, Yiminfang, Lianhu District.

We arrive at Xi'an North Railway Station and are staying at Eastern Boutique Hotel

How do we take a bus or subway to arrive there? Thank you in advance.

You can take metro line 2 to Bell Tower station (Exit B), and take bus 229 from North Bell Tower station to Wuwei Shizi station, and walk south of 300m to your hotel. It takes around 1 hour with CNY6.
