Winding about 3,964 miles, Yangtze River is the largest in China and the third largest in the world after the Nile in Africa and the Amazon in South America. Originating from the Tanggula Range in Qinghai Province in western China, it traverses eleven provinces and cities from west to east, including Qinghai, Tibet, Sichuan, Yunnan, Chongqing, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Anhui, Jiangsu and Shanghai. Finally it pours into the East China Sea at Shanghai.

As the largest water system in China, Yangtze River is historically, economically and culturally important to the country. It has numerous tributaries including Min River, Han River, Jialing River, Gan River, and Huangpu River. The Three Gorges Dam on the river is the largest dam project and hydropower station in the world. Generally, people consider the river a dividing line between North China and South China. Areas to the north and the south of the river have many differences in climate, scenery, economics, culture and folk customs.

does the Baidicheng scenic area offer any boat tours of the yangtze river ?

If i want to visit the Baidicheng scenic area, are there any boats to take tourists to visit the nearby gorges ? how much is the price and the frequency of the tour ? thanks.

Well, as I know, there is no boat tours of the Yangtze River from Baidicheng Scenic Area.

Yangtze 3 gorges and 3 little gorges with joining the big cruise from Chongqing

We are 4 adults (50 yrs old) and planning our trip to see the Yangtze River gorges without joining the big cruise ship. We arrive into Chengdu by flight. Please advise what is the most comfortable way to get from Chongqing or Chengdu to Wushan. We are not interested to see the Ghost city in Fengdu and hope to skip Fengdu. From Wushan, we will join the 3 little gorges river cruise and after a night, we would like to find a way to get to Badong to cruise the Shennong Stream before heading to Yichang to Catch our train to Wuhan. Please can you guide us. Thank you.

You can take a coach from Chongqing North Railway Station North Square Coach Station to Wushan.
The bus schedules are from 08:00 to 15:20. The ticket fare is CNY140/person.

How do I go to the three gorges dam by bus from Yichang?

Hi, you can take Bus Line B100/ B34 from Gezhouba Station to Yemingzhu and then walk north about 200m to take Bus Line 216 from Yemingzhu Bus Station to Lishuwan. After that, walk southwest about 500m to the Three Gorges Dam. It takes about 1 hour.

Is it Overseas Chinese Friendship Hotel? The Yangtze River Cruise always starts from Chongqing or Yichang so there is no such cruise departing from Guangzhou.
