► Prearranged UAE Visa
If you are not a passport holder of the above countries or territories, you need to apply for a prearranged UAE visa before entry.

► UAE Transit Visa
The UAE issues two types of transit visas. One is 48 hours for free of charge and the other is 96 hours for a fee of AED50. You can only apply for the transit visa through the UAE-based Airlines, such as Emirates Airlines or Etihad Airways.

The weather of the UAE belongs to a desert climate, characterized by the pleasant mild winter and hot humid summer. The best time to visit the UAE is from November to March when the climate is breezy and cool, while hotel prices are usually higher, so be sure to prepare your UAE holidays in advance. April, May and late October are also good time with slightly more humid but still bearable. Weather between June and September is not good to do the desert safari, but you can still enjoy many indoor activities and get great deals on hotels.

Currency: The Dirham (AED) is the official currency in the UAE. Besides cash, international credit card and debit card are widely accepted. ATMs are easily found in UAE's urban areas.

Language: The official language is Arabic, but English is widely used.

Alcohol: Drinking alcohol in Sharjah is illegal, while in other emirates like Dubai or Abu Dhabi, tourists can drink alcohol in hotels, restaurants and pubs.

Safety: The UAE is a very safe country and it is a Muslim country too, respect the local religions and customs while travelling.

Dress Code: As a Muslim country, all residents are required to dress modestly, while the dress code for tourists is liberal generally, but the revealing clothes should be avoided.
