Can I use my mobile phone in China? And can I visit sites such as Facebook and Twitter?
You can use your mobile phone as long as it is unlocked. If your phone is locked, you can call your carrier to ask for unlocking it. Since the international roaming rates are very expensive, we suggest you buy a prepaid local SIM card. You can easily buy a SIM card as they all have lots of branches and outlets in cities and even airports. Our guide is happy to help you with it.
Sites such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc. are not available in China. If it's convenient, we suggest you download WeChat - a very popular free mobile messaging & calling app. It is a great way for you to connect with locals during your trip.
I am interested in meeting and interacting with local people, do I have a chance to make it with your arrangement?
Yes, there are plenty of opportunities for you to meet and interact with local Chinese people in different cities. You will experience authentic old Beijing life during the exciting Hutong travel. When visiting the Temple of Heaven, you can see and even become involved personally with the Beijingers to do some leisure activities such as playing chess, flying kites, singing, dancing etc. In addition to learning home-cooked dishes, a local family visit in Xian also gives you a real glimpse into typical Chinese way of life. You get to see locals going about their daily lives while cruising down the Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo, and exploring the countryside of Yangshuo. It is indeed an interesting experience to have a stop at the 'Marriage Market' in Shanghai People's Square Park. Examples of such activities are too many to list.
