When is the best time to visit Guizhou?

The climate in Guizhou is often mild and moist, neither extremely hot nor cold. Although the best time for taking Guizhou tour packages is during late August, spring (March-May), summer (June-August) and autumn (September-November) are all wonderful seasons for sightseeing. How to get there?

The best way to get to Guizhou is by plane. Visitors can reach Guiyang in 3 hours from Beijing or Shanghai, 2 hours from Xi'an or Guangzhou, only 1.5 hours from Chengdu or Kunming. Those flights are scheduled daily. There are even direct flights from Chengdu to Kaili.

If you prefer to have a look at the landscape along the way, taking a high-speed train is a good choice as well. It needs only 2.5 hours from Kunming to Guiyang, however, it takes 4 to 9 hours to reach Guiyang from big cities, such as Chengdu, Guangzhou, Xi'an, Beijing and Shanghai. If you take high-speed trains from those cities to Kaili, it takes a little longer time, another half an hour.
